LOL at people who think taking 90 degree turns at 50+ MPH won't make your wheels screech.

Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d

OP is a douche this demo is flat out awesome the in car view and the game looks awesome the bouncing and grind from the road is so authentic this game is flat out amazing. If you dont like it then you dont like sim racers and that is okay just admit your bias and be done with it.

If you turn your car wheel completely to the left and try to slam on the gas, you'll get the same results you were getting in the game. Also, the X button should NEVER be used to accelerate in this type of game. This isn't Grand Theft Auto....

As i read it the TT demo does however showcase the physics, not the graphics etc. But how the car handles and feels is the same as the one in the GT5 game. And THAT's what im ranting about..

It's not the physics and car handling that suck, it's you. Learn to play it properly then come back and complain if you must.

How can i play it inproperly? And what am i doing wrong if i get screeching tires at low speed and spinning around at speed below 40mph? Its not even possible in real life. Definitive racing simulation my behind.

Well, try turning at 40 MPH in real life a street corner and come back here :P.

A rant..

How the hell can this be a simulation game when you get screeching tires á Hollywood going 40mph and spinning around in a slight left turn?. If this is how the Nissan handles they should recall all units due to risk of fatal crashes. And at certain points not being able to do a turn and still have the animation doing a full whatever-direction-turn with the steering wheel. This was by far the most atrocious game demo i've ever played.

I never play car games, GRID being the only one, but i had high hopes for this GT demo, seeing as its been hyped as a franchise and IGN saying PD have outdone themselves. But damn.. i did 2 laps, quit, deleted the game and the "maybe"-purchase of GT5 is now at a "hell-the-fudge-no!"-level.

..end rant.

I agree with everything you say.

So... guessing you don't have your license?

@ alot of people... .

I wasnt doing a 90´turn
I wasnt turning in 40mph
I wasnt in the middle of the race trying to turn a corner
I wasnt full speed slaming the breaks going into a corner
..etc

I was 10 seconds into the start of the race.. trying to line myself up to the right side of the track. And the hollywood screeching started and i deleted the demo.

FYI: you start the lap at a very high speed

To be honest after playing multiple racing games with a 360 controller the PS3 one really kind of sucks for racing games. For one the buttons are pressure sensitive, so you really have to keep on pushing to be sure u are going flat out. I remember the same problem with the PS2 games of Gran Turismo and ending up using an old PS1 dual shock controller without pressure sensitive buttons. Besides that, using the analog stick for acceleration is really uncomfortable after 2 or more laps, and the R buttons are to slippery to use aswell.

The X360's shoulder buttons really resemble a gas/brake pedal way better, and offer way more accuracy for dosing your gas. Really wish PS3 hade a controller like that for racing.

You're missing half the GT experience by playing it without a wheel.
