Cheebee - it might end up being full price, I don't know, but present preorder prices online everywhere I checked (Gamestop, Amazon, Walmart) are around the $29.99 mark.

I've actually noticed that too on a few online shops' webpages... could be it's because the last game had that price, but still. Kind of weird to see so many stores list it at that pricepoint. The game did release at a more expensive pricepoint in Japan, thus it was assumed the same would be true for the West... however, I've already noticed on several Japanese pages too, the game's price has been changed to 3980 Yen, which is about 30 Euros / 40 Dollars.

So... what this means for the game's price when it releases in the West is unknown, at this point, but it sure is interesting. Imo, it's well worth the full price, as it's a full game, so really the only reason it'd be released cheaper would be because the original EO was. Then again, a lower pricepoint would be nice as well, I sure wouldn't complaint. There are enough great games coming out anyway, gotta watch my funds!

We'll see, I guess.

I still remember when you could get people upset on here by mentioning that EO was a really good game, in fact, a game at all. Good times.

As a supporter of EO from the first hour, EO2 is a must buy and my most anticipated game of 2010.

^ I'm suprised you haven't posted in the thread already, I remember your thread from about when the first one launched.

I believe you couldn't or hadn't connected online at that time, so we couldn't dive together (though it is a bit awkward in the first one with the only method of communication being the small set of words) I think the only ones I have dived with have been RolStoppable and Chrizum.

Is a non laggy connection important for this type of game as it is for other types of games?

It might be because I was gone for the last two months due to some travelling.

And yes, my online was not active during that time. But then I never made it to any of the Mario Kart sessions either.

Not really.... if it does lag then you may see your diving partner jump a bit but that is not an issue, this isn't a competitive game.

Alright, small update: The game's definitely not gonna be full-price. At first it was assumed it would be, but every single retailer I've seen, both on- and offline, worldwide, has the game listed at a pricepoint somewhere between 30-40 Dollars/Euros/Pounds/other foreign currency equivalent to that.

So... an improvement over the original in every way, yet @ the same low price = yay!

^the first one was only £20.... this one is £30.

I can't really tell what price games are supposed to launch at anymore, but I think it is generally £35 - £45 for Wii games (40-50 for HD)
