Is the fighting turn-based like the thousand-year door was?

This one is more action orientated apparently.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Nope, it's real time. It's kind of hard to even explain how the game plays. You really have to check out a gameplay video somewhere. But as an example, you come up to a huge enemy (lets say the spiked blocks with angry faces). They take up half the screen and you think "how the hell am I supposed to get passed these!?" Then you flick the game to 3d. While the monster may be huge from side to side, but he's also paper thin, and you can just conveniently walk around him. I really think that this game is going to be big.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

The gameplay for me is like a dream come true. I was bored with Mario's turn based battles, and I at times get frustrated with marios platform formula of lose power shrink then die. So to have rpg like stats with the platform action, then we have this super cool puzzle concept with 3d perspective. And the fact that I get to play with Bowser, it's like taking the best of everything mario and slapping it into one game. Awesome! The only bummer in this game will most likely be a lack of good Wii-mote use, as it's pretty much a GC title.

Besides the default controls, the only wiimote functionality I've read about are 1) Use the wiimote's pointer as a flashlight or point on an enemy to obtain information on them 2) Shake the wiimote in certain ways for extra attacks/power (seems to depend on the ability in question, it seems like an extra default attack is done by shaking the wiimote at the height of the bounce after a first attack) No mention of the wiimote's built in speaker being used, but we really won't know everything on the controls 'till we get some reviews of it. GOTY contender for me! :)

I wasn't going to get this at first but I think I'm going to get this and the Godfather, this weekend, have any of you heard anything about TMNT?

i may be mistaken but on the videos i've seen of super mario galaxy, it seemed to me that Mario's life was like a pie with 8 slices, meaning that it may be just like paper mario on the new stat formula, which would be cool. btw, there's no pics of mario in Galaxy showing him small or with special powers, no?

Mario 64 and Sunshine both used a pie-based meter for health as well, replenished by coins. Now there's a suggestion, money = life? ;)

The word on TMNT is that regardless of the system you get it for, it's pretty much Prince of Persia for kids. They say it's almost impossible to die and not that much fun, but good for easy Achievement points if you get the 360 version.

True. But I beleive mos comes from it's block stylings. The entire game seems to use geometric shapes for all things that aren't an old character/enemy. I think we'll have to see more of this game, and better vids.
