Doubt that is really the reason they are porting to the 360 and not ps3. Most likely reason, which has been stated, is because  360 development is much closer to the PC than PS3 development. They port it to the 360 to make an easy buck with minimal effort . They tried outsourcing the orange box to EA, and saw how that turned out and so decided to just skip ps3. I also think the reason they keep saying things is because the "journalists" keep asking them questions about it.

As much as the ps3 fanboys cry it is not going to hurt valve. They are a private company that owns steam and has high sales on their PC games, which are very good. If they were a public company I would say maybe they should go out there and hire some ps3 devs, but it is also likely that since they are private they wish to keep staff numbers down and thus doing so would only distract them from their real money makers.

damn i mean i would love to see more valve games on the ps3 to share the love but its not THAT serious, my life will continue. Some people are arrogant, no getting around that. But thats why i own a 360, ps3 and pc, so i dont run into this problem

why do all these fanboys think that we xbox owners only play halo or gears online? look at the weekly online charts - yes gears and halo are up there, but so are 7 or so other games (cod, forza now, L4D...). C'mon maaaan!

Why do I see numbers of people irate over Valve, just because they won't do PS3 games, AND yet, no one is making a stink over Blizzard not doing ANY games on consoles. You can't play any of their games on consoles now, and I see little indication they will be doing stuff now. No World of Warcraft or other games. No Diablo or Starcraft either. But, Gabe is the enemy and Blizzard is just a bunch of saints. Excuse me a minute, why not call Blizzard a bunch of fat and ugly losers, like you do with Gabe, and then expect it to have an impact and then maybe Blizzard will respond and see the light, because you insult them?

So yh such a huge loss not having generic shooter 10,000 on the PS3. They are crap devs anyway because he is no need for the 360 version of L4D to look as bad as it does. no reason.

Even though Diablo III and Starcraft II probably wouldn`t be very demanding spec-wise (Blizzard`s spec requirements are generally more modest than usual and they make the effort to optimize their games. Valve seems to be the same way btw), I think they should release on consoles anyway because there will be people who have an old laptop or desktop that can`t run SC2 or Diablo 3 (I`d be surprised if my laptop can`t run these but my laptop is pretty new). The 360 badly needs to incorporate USB mouse and keyboard support though. I can`t imagine Starcraft with a controller. I think they could adapt Diablo III to the controller but I personally can`t imagine playing it any other way than with a mouse and keyboard. I`m so used to clickity click click and the hotkeys. And I`m not much of a PC gamer so it says a lot when I say that I can`t imagine Diablo on a console.

I`m not that excited about Blizzard games though. I`m not that big on Starcraft (I like it but not that much) and IMO Diablo just hasn`t been the same since Diablo II. Diablo 2 was better for multiplayer (unless you played with friends. Diablo 1 co-op with honest friends who won`t stab you in the back or steal your dropped loot if you die is very enjoyable) but Diablo 1 had a much better atmosphere and gameplay experience. Exploring the dark dungeons in Diablo 1, you were really on your feet, you felt like you could get gangbanged by packs of minions any split second if you didn`t pay attention. And killing monsters for xp, gold and loot. That was fun. I miss that dark, gothic, slow-paced dungeon crawling atmosphere. Diablo II doesn`t have that feeling and Diablo III looks like WoW. Everything from the great atmosphere-setting music to the darker lighting to the great sound effects of the minions to the slow dungeon crawling pace and the sense of danger makes Diablo 1 a much more fun experience than Diablo 2.

Exactly. What a laughable statement that some "the best developers in the world" can figure out how to properly port their last gen engine on PS3.

Because Blizzard are PC-only. If Valve were PC-only, like they really should be, nobody would complain.
