They can do what they want, although personally I think it's more sensible to simply keep quiet on platforms you don't support vs Gabe's somewhat loose tongue.

But hey, I love their games and play them on PC only, so it's not like I'm bothered by their lack of PS3 support and extra money on the side 360 support.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

well I play games on a console and have no interest in valve. I think its a fair tradeoff

He's saying that you can't expect next generation PS3 type games from valve... instead upgraded PS2 games... (or at least thats what it seems like.)

When in general PS3 games are in fact.... upgraded PS2 games. 

It's like the difference between the NES and the SNES.

 

So what you are saying is the 360 runs upgraded xbox 1 games as well?  See the logic makes no sense, I owned both of the previous generation consoles....and there is nothing out on both of them that looks anything or runs anything like last gen games.  If this is in regards to valve, yes you are correct; left for dead looks alot better on pc then on the 360; the orange box for consoles are just ports from the xbox version of half life 2, so in this you are correct.  But it ends there with valve, every other game developer seems to live and develop in this generation of consoles without exception.

Yes.  I am saying that... 360 does run upgraded valve Xbox 1 games.

graphics done by the source engine do nothing as far as "next generation" goes.

That's pretty blunt, but lets be honest. It is a disaster financially for Sony and hurt the Playstation brand.

Several years later Sony is still taking huge losses and they can't sell it for as much as they'd like.

And don't forget developers were threatening to pull support if they didn't drop the price. Developers win while Sony continues to lose.

All time is a bit much.  Though they are up their when it comes to highly rated games.

Best First Person Shooter developer of all time though is hard to debate though.

So if FPS is your favorite genre... it's pretty obvious why you would think they were the best.

Me i'd go with someone like Nintedo who has a much wider catalogue... (even though personally there are other devs i like more.)

They are in the top 3 of best game developers soo its not wrong to say they are the best.

Nobody should criticize Valve. They should spend some time trying to make their games better. If you are going to criticize Valve about their gaming policy, you better be named Miyamoto, Kojima, or god.
