Your answer is yes. ioi won't and really shouldn't change the ban time after crucial acted up. If he hadn't...he could have been let back after a day at most, really.

If Ben was planning to wait a day and then unban him, until Crucial decided to act up:  then Ben knows.

 Well, then to know how something will pan out we have to read Ben's mind. The anyone I refer to is the person who would be acted upon, not the person acting. To be more clear, how does it help anyone but Ben to know what is a one day ban and what is a perma-ban if the only one who knows it is Ben? Just wondering.

Your point is taken, fkusumot, but the whole thing unfolded fairly quickly. I'm willing to take it on faith that Ben was going to get around to it but Crucial decided to go on his little crusade before that happened.

[edit: by which I mean I believe Ben that he was going to lower the ban length or convince ioi to.]

If ioi absolutely wouldn't allow it...nothing I can do about that...but I too felt he could have been unbanned quickly...but that's all done now.

I'm done with this now I think.

Oh i know who Crucial is. Same writing style and content as the one user on SE with anger issues and bidding me down on every comment. I'll guess he is angry because he lost to much money by misinterpreting ioi numbers, and taking them without as fully right (no error range) at first. Most likely he lost a good amount of money on SE by that and is know pissed.
