Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Can any Nintendo protagnist be considered Lawful Good?

It was too difficult to put up what they meant in the OP?

I'm not being an ass, but honestly, many of us were confused by the terminology.

Edit: You think Kirby is the equivalent of Jack Sparrow?

I'm sorry.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Most Nintendo characters are simply avatars, empty vessels upon which you project your own personality or any personality you like. Link, Samus etc. can be lawful good if you view them that way, since (aside from some few occasions such as all the extrapolation in Metroid Fusion) they rarely express their views or their personality.

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

So they're pretty much all Neutral good unless you make them Chaotic or Lawful?

I'll remember that when I'm forced to blow up a planet to stop Space Pirate plans..

Aside from the characters that express themselves a lot, anything that's happening in their heads is just happening in yours. I'd say they're all chaotic by default, as gamers tend to play chaotically (it's just a game after all).

Ok, it doesn't always work for Samus, and I haven't played all the Zelda games so it's possible Link shows he's unambiguously lawful/chaotic at some point, but in general they are presented as empty vessels. The times where they express a lawful/chaotic personality are few and far between.

Phoenix Wright?

Considering the last chapter of the second game, Phoenix is not entirely lawful. He's neutral, he goes against the law when he feels it's morally appropriate (they annoyingly give you the illusion of choice at this point).

the pokemon protagonists seem law abiding enough. They don't kill team rocket/magma/etc

I can easily picture 70% of the Fire Emblem main characters as lawfully good

Just look at Marth, as far as i know, he follows the rule until the end, he is suppose to be a king after all, he is no super hero, but he is too much of a good guy. Ike on the other side is neutral good he is more of a typical hero

mmm.. Olimar might fit the description too

Nintendo is the best videogames company ever!
