I refuse to get excited before I see the stable hardware sales platform it'll rest on. One things is for damn sure, this holiday will be bonkers and a lot more even than last year's!

You know what's funny if xbox was on the top, it would be a role reversal. Xbox fanboys would be predicting doom for sony, than sony fanboys would say it's all about the games, than xbox people probably respond by saying, it's a sales website, vgchartz is really becoming predictable. It's a never ending cycle.

So many people (self blind-folded) are going to be dissapointed during and after the holidays. Wii shattered the competition last year with just Wii Music and Animal Crossing. I predict crying. A lot.

I am not longing for anyone to cry. It's just that, well, many people will. Last year, HD twins had a fantastic line-up yet the Wii beat them up with nothing but crappiness.

Trust me, Wii will leave both Sony and Microsoft in the dust this holiday season as well. The only region I see something changing is Japan, where Nintendo has totally dropped the ball and let Sony grab all the core audience.

Again, I am on neither side. I'll line up to buy both New Super Mario Bros. and Uncharted 2. It's just that it's too late for a PS3 comeback, people need to realise that. TheSource put it amazingly simple : If the PS3 keeps outselling the Wii weekly, in 500 weeks it will get ahead...

Was definitely taken back by how well PS3 held up after TOV in Japan. But I also stated that even if it does hold up, it could just have a much larger drop the next week after. Making up for lost ground almost. But as a whole on WW, I had put this weeks sales in the 200k-250k range if I remember correctly so once again staying up the high part of my predictions. Good job for PS3.

Now biggest comeback ever? That's just not necessary. It's nice to know that your 3rd place competitor still has the will to compete. I would only expect that from such a company, especially Sony. Things like this are to be seen, but not in 3 weeks. We'll see after the holiday season for PS3 of how it'll compete for 2010 and beyond.

I thought we established from 2006 that the only fighting would be between the PS3 and 360 for 2nd place. But Im glad someone finally had the balls to say that out of the three consoles Wiis lineup was by far the worst. I don't think anyone here thinks the Wii is going to lose this holiday. It just dropped in price and has an okay lineup. 

I predict MS coming in last this year 

Well, without ToV in Japan it would be 30+k...and there are also a couple sales from Need for Speed...but hey, great sales! I think Sony has done a great thing for sales, but a orrible thing for profits. Ps3 will outsell Wii for another week, 360 for some weks (maybe also for months o years? I don't know...).

I always try to be haha.  Just want to make sure when I talk about sales that I'm not stating too many definite and instead implying ranges.  No one can definitely say what is going to happen, but I can at least try to give the most likely scenarios and presenting the numerous sides. 

I am thinking for next week we'll see PS3 in the 175k-225k range.  If it does hold up like usual things of such it should be around that range.  Depending on how hard the Japanese fall is, we could see it towards the height of that range.  And I don't expect Wii to outsell it next week.  Wii is going to go a few days with it known that their is a pricedrop in Japan and Americas.  Meaning we might see Wii in Japan go below 10k for the first time ever.  Kind of a scary thought but given the circumstances I'm sure most people won't freak too much.  Then of course in America we'll see the obvious drops in sales before a price drop.  So PS3 should be able to take one more week from the Wii.  Then we'll see how it pans out, especially considering we don't know what is happening in Europe yet with the Wii.  Will be an interesting holiday season indeed but maybe not as interesting as some throw it out to be.  Between PS3 and 360... yea very interesting.

playstation 3 lost the race before it started. It's worst enemy was itself and they are not going to change that this gen. biggest comeback ever? is very laughable. Microsoft took their core and nintendo took their casuals. nothing more nothing less.
