I'm going to copy/paste what I said in the other thread:

Okay, I've done some testing with a Wiimote and a DS3 to see if this control scheme was as uncomfortable as it seemed and the answer is yes and no.

I tried using my standard Wii playing position ie. my right arm/hand resting on my right leg to provide stability and quick and accurate aiming and then tried to hold the DS3 in my left hand.

If we only need to use the left analog stick on the DS3, then there's no problem at all, you can have a solid grip on the controller and use the stick without any problems but if we need to use the L1 and L2 buttons then the hold become very uncomfortable and unstable with two fingers used for L1 and L2.

Have you tried just one finger for L1 and L2???
2 has always felt ackward... one just fits perfectly for me.

the guy in the video looked like he was just using one finger for L1 and L2.

like i said befire, perhaps the fragfx would work best.

I didn't do extensive testing but it felt like switching one finger from L1 to L2 while holding the DS3 in one hand was unstable. It may just be that I didn't find the right grip but this does mean the control scheme is very unintuitive. A half-DS3 controller would have been a good idea to make this better.

That looks clumsy.

Does Wii Resi need two controllers?

they expect you to hold both the dualshock and the wand....
omg, they really need to not show such undveloped tech.. they need to re-design that thing to be used as the only control device.

i love the idea of wii controls on the ps3 but i have to agree, this just looks stupid.  seriously, how much could it cost to add a nun-chuck to the wand.

Possible, but poor solution. They really need to come up with something more elegant... like a nunchuck ripoff.

Is it worth it though, as a stopgap from just using a second wand in left hand?

After all this monoshock should still have a rechargeable battery, possibly rumble, an analog and/or a dpad, 2 to 3 buttons, BlueTooth, USB... how much cheaper can it be than a dualshock or an extra wand, and how much value would it seem to offer when compared to controllers you can actually use by themselves in other games?

I don't think I would buy one for $30, maybe the value perception is the downside to announcing and producing such an obvious and easy piece of engineering.

I would have assumed that you could aim a lot better with the wand... but it didn't really seem like it helped.

The shaking of the wand thing was okayyy
