its a beta , not a demo...

The game has gone Gold.  It's a demo, not a beta.  It even says "Multiplayer Demo" on the GameStop vouchers.

It says "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves beta" under people's names on the PS3

It says beta but beta has become one of the new buzzwords that people attach to things to create hype.  If you said you got the Uncharted 2 Multiplayer demo sure that's cool but that doesn't sound nearly as cool as you got in the Uncharted 2 Multiplayer beta. 

That makes you sound like your part of some exclusive club and makes other people want in too.

Nowadays, if you're in a beta you're probably just in the demo.

Nice one! I think the Cinema mode is going to be pretty popular - pity about your friend though.

I pulled a nice screenshot of my foe falling in defeat right next to the treasure chest, plunder in hand but sadly for him going nowhere else!



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

do you know if you can send the screenshots to your friends who don't have the game. No one on my friends list have the beta. Bunch of losers.

Sorry, being serious now. You don't even know if they plan to put this into the final version. They might have just realised that the explosion physics isn't perfect, and that the aiming mechanism whilst sniping needs tinkering with. Hence them pushing all the beta players into RPG or sniper matches. Wait until the final release before you bitch

 

Have you played the beta yet?

 

 

It seems like this is how the matchmaking is designed. The final product is going to be very similar to this.

 

 

 Rofl, this kid doesn't know what betas are for hahahahaha.

I will go out on a limb and say that Naughty Dog will give you the option of filtering by game types, including death match. This limited beta/demo is designed to give you a flavor of the overall gameplay, as well as to produce organic stress to the ND servers. I have only played coop so far in this version, but I don't recall any sniper's only or RPG only games in the previous beta.

By the way, I love the fact that you get to fight the mini-boss at the end of the coop now. The first beta looked great, but the graphics in this version look a lot better.

Note sure.  I'll give it a go.  I'm in same boat as you though - none of my friends seem to be in the beta!
