Uncharted by far, not just for technical reasons but its just overall a better game to look at, much better use of colors. i still say uncharted to has the best art direction and look this generation...it may not be the most technilogically advanced but i still think it looks better

Gears easily.

no freackin' ideea (tie?)...both have great textures/effects and both have tearing/pop up problems.

It's close to a tie in my mind, but I think Uncharted just pips it with the character models and effects it sports.

But it sure is close. Anyone saying 'Uncharted by a mile or Gears by a mile' is definitely betraying a bias to their favorite console IMHO.

blood and physycs look way better in gears, but characters and enviroments look better on uncharted.

It depends on what you are looking at. Gears has more detail, but for lush environments its definately uncharted.

Why compare console games two years apart? Especially Resident Evil 5 which is one of the best looking multi-platform games and looks much better then Mass Effect. It's just not as interesting when one is the clear winner.

Resident Evil 5 vs Farcry 2 would be more interesting. Both I belive have the nicest looking multi-platform graphics.

It is extremely close, Gears was my first "Holy crap!" game of this gen, but I just love the way uncharted looks. From the character models to the animations. Uncharted squeaks it out.

Gears 2>Uncharted>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gears 1.

Saying that though me i would always pick uncharte over gears because i hate anything that has blur 2cm's into the screen so i would be

I really cant see a difference between one and 2 that much, Of course apart frm the scale
