attacks on religion and calling it Bull Shit doesn't fair well with me.... Zeitgeist is bullshit yet I'm not saying I whole heartily take the government at face value........

Unfortunately I can't have an intelligent debate with you, because all your retorts will include either "conservative" or "sheep."

Bush has, in fact, taken many steps towards fascism in the name of the war against terrorism. (1)

He cannot establish a pure dictatorship, of course, because the American people would reject that. But as long as it's a "time of war," the American people may accept the loss of freedom. The fact that Bush once absent-mindedly commented that "I don't think you can win [the war on terrorism]" (2) should be evidence enough that he wants his wartime presidential powers to stay forever. And the fact that Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama and John Edwards refuse to pledge to leave Iraq--EVER (3)--should be evidence that they want to continue the war, so they too can have his huge, unconstitutional powers.

As far as the media, it has completely failed us since 9/11. Osama Bin Laden himself said so (4), but of course no one knows that, because the media has deemed it more important to listen to pundits spew propoganda about OBL's statements than it is to actually report those statements. And of course that benefits the presidency, because if we listened to OBL (imagine, listening to your enemy!), we'd know that he considers Bush's foreign policy since 9/11 to literally be a blessing from Allah (4). Yet the media beat Bush's war drum for years even after the American people turned on Bush.

The 9/11 attacks were carried out by Muslim terrorists, yes. But as much as that is fact, it is fact that terrorism is being used as a way to consolidate presidential powers and take Americans' freedoms.

As for a proposed North American Union... It sounds like a perfect way to "make North America more powerful in the world" at the expense of the North American people. A larger over-government will require more taxation, and inevitably be less effective.

It's basically in place already because of the 'Border Securty' BS.

is a neonazi page?

how years have USA? 250-300 years? is a young country, why many USA people think that USA people is a special race or that the country have 500-2000 years? is not a eternal country  or a legendary race, are only simple humans, the countries change all time, in 20-50 years maybe Europe become a country, in 50-100 years southamerica become a country, all territories changes all time, you dont think that USA go to exist 2000 or 5000 years.

Bush v. Gore.

Bush ran on a "humble foreign policy" and "compassionate conservatism," which of course has become a joke. If Gore had established a social security "lock box" and generally controlled spending, and not entered a war with Iraq, I think that alone means America would have been better off. Of course, the American people DID elect Al Gore, but our democracy failed us and made the loser of the popular vote the president.

As for Global Warming... It has so far been countered by Global Dimming. If you're wondering why the Global Warming debate always seems so uninformed on both sides, it's because no one knows or talks about Global Dimming.

Global Warming is absolutely real, but liberals absolutely try to take advantage of it to push a socialist agenda.

We shouldn't simply accept the erosion of our freedoms because "America is young and countries change."

 Exactly my point.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Sorry if I sounded harsh Origin. I was just a little taken aback to see you talking about that movie. I've seen that "documentary" and it's just an utter joke. It makes up a lot of it's facts.

As for your points. No, I don't think that the U.S. is becoming simillar to the Nazi's Germany. I believe that the current government has committed a wrath of crimes both domestically and internationally and I believe that the U.S. democratic system and government structure is inherently corrupt. But that's a far cry from playing the Hitler card.

Part of the problem with claiming that the U.S. is turning so evil is the fact that it's history is by no means better. The more apt analogy than germany would be the U.S. during the cold war. Domestically, their Communist witch hunt was worse than what's now. And internationally they treated the world as their playground. South America in particular was horrendously manipulated. And the Iraq war is most oft compared to... Vietnam!

Wait... what was I trying to say again?... I can't remember. I'm somewhat sleep deprived right now. Anyways,

Rational and civil discussion of ideas: good

Stupid nonsensical web documentaries: bad

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Yeah, I agree with stof for the most part. Unfortunately, he is a sheep for not agreeing with rendo's exact ideas.

I've wanted the American and Candian currencies combined for a while.

Wonder how they would do it for mexico though considering the exchange rate.  Maybe are money would be like the Yen.  I kinda like the thought of bills with unnessairly high numbers on them.

Could do without adding Mexico in it because of their obvious poverty but hey, it could help out mexico a lot anyway... maybe America would finally get a universal healthcare system out of it... and Canada would get...

Cheaper videogame systems? Well that and probably products in general because they couldn't screw canadians by basing it on currency rates locked in back when the dollar was up on it a lot.

Probably a Lose, Lose, Win. But hey, why not. As for the, rape rates etc rising from immagrants. That's the same everywhere... whenever a large mass of poor people move to a surrounding city.

See what the New Orleans Katrina survivors did to the areas they were put up in.
