One console gaming is much better -_-

PS3 = Good
360 = Good
PS3 + 360 = Implications on social life and one system may get neglected

exactly i mean it could be fine for people in there early teens they have more time to waste on gaming and there attention span is much greater but for people who are older i dont see the reason unless ur in love with one of the franchises that on the system, most games are going multi now anyways and are most likely to continue that way

i mean i would enjoy playing games like l4d and gears but i could live with out them and already dead rising 2 is coming to the ps3

The first Gears of War was the game that finalized the conversion for me.  It came out shortly before the PS3 launch and when I bought it my thoughts of buying a PS3 pretty much diminished.  It was (is) absolutely a landmark for console gaming.  Even 3 years later plus the sequel out there are still plenty of people to play online with in the multiplayer modes.

Go for it. The larger HD will come in use, trust me on that one.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

Well, I certainly appreciate all your advice Ladies and Gents. As of today, I officially own both the PS3 and the 360. All this animosity I held for a piece of hardware has significantly dwindled after playing an hour of Mass Effect. Even though I love my PS3 to death, the gamer in me couldn't resist. Also, I'm not a PC gamer which is why I opted for a 360 to begin with. Anyhow, thanks again for the advice community.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Guidelines to understanding my train of thought:

  • THE METAL GEAR SOLID FRANCHISE IS THE BEST THING TO HIT THE PLANET SINCE THE PS3!! THUS, MGS FRANCHISE >> SLICED-BREAD.
  • Solid Snake shall and well always shove 1up mushrooms up Mario's ass.
  • Solid Snake shall and well always decimate Master Chief with a flurry of rocket launchers, shotgun rounds, and a 20 minute monologue.

It's more then worth it, but if your going for exclusives ONLY and not aiming for XBL go for the Arcade.

Depends on what you're looking for. Despite the angst over PS3 being technically superior, unless you're into counting lines of resolution they offer similar graphics. The key is obviously the software selection... the 360 is FPS (particularly multi-player) and RPG heavy with some interesting titles such as Beautiful Katamari and Viva Pinata thrown in for good measure. There are plenty of good titles on both platforms, but if most of the titles you're interested in are multi-plat, I would save the money and spend it on additional PS3 titles. If you really, really, want some of the 360 exclusives and you're into online play, then getting the 360 might be a good investment.

Well, I always wanted to play Gears of war.... wait a second.. I owned a 360 1st, why didn't I ever get that game...  Well, on the Wii, I wanted to play Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom... but, then I found out it was a 3 button fighter, and didn't want it anymore...  Now, I want that apocalyptic disney game where mickey commits suicide..

But, who knows, maybe you just want it 'cause you can't have it, and when you finally get it, it wont have that same "must have" feel to it.  That disney game is a depending factor on rather or not I ever get a Wii, and if it goes multi platform, I'll just get it on PS3.

Get the Pro ESPECIALLY since you want Mass Effect. If you install it, it eliminates a lot of the technical issues and gets rid of the texture pop-ins. Installing games is the way to go.

I agree. I got the Pro 60 gig, installed Mass Effect and it played fantastic. Mass Effect is one of best Si fi games this gen. I got hooked on it and played it 28 straight hours with a total of 238 hours. The story is that good.

GamerTag/PSN ID JoshmyersBV (please add me I have 2 friends on Xbox Live)
