I agree, wishful thinking.
If they were going to do it they would have done it already I think.
But if they eventually do do it then I suspect it will be a while, I'm thinking
there won't be a remake until the next generation lol. Because they already
came out with the game on the PSN so they would want to wait a while to maximize sales.

Sony does own the rights to publishing it in North America.
they also own the rights to distribute and publish advent children dvd, brd and umd..
They also own like 9% of Square-Enix stocks..

I think they have 50% ownership of ff7, though im not sure.

People will always make rumors saying they're remaking FF7... because it has to happen... eventually.

FFVII have a huge fanbase, so that means alot of rumors and crap.
i just wonder why everyone want FFVII remake and not the older games FFVII is fine (well compared to FFVIII, it looks crap xD) but its fine EVERYONE knows the storyline , why not remake the older ones so new gamers can enjoy them instead of playing the same game all over again.
