Why are you assuming my comment was about people who didn't own a Wii?

@animefobber: Read the OP they are making a PSP VERSION. How can a PSP version be less downgraded than a Wii one? The hardware excuse is not valid when they are making a game for a far more limited platform. I will report you next time you post without reading the OP or the thread.

Namco's concerns are valid - they really don't know what the market is on the Wii for a traditional 3D fighter with nontraditional controls. Having to make the game look and possibly even play worse because of hardware limitations only heighten that concern. A fighting game with motion controls don't really add anything to the game, so there's nothing they can really add to a Wii version of Tekken 6 that would make any part of its experience better or even on par with the arcade/360/PS3 versions. They already have experience with PSP ports so those costs shouldn't be as high, and the PSP version is likely going to be graphically inferior by a good margin. It's just that since the PSP is a handheld, graphical differences will be less noticeable since the PSP screen is much smaller than when the game's played for at much higher resolutions. And even then, the PSP's button layout make it more ideal for a fighter than the Wii's default control scheme.

They just think it's too much of a gamble. They could be wrong, but I don't think their choice is simply because they hate the Wii. They just probably don't think there would be enough to justify porting cost for a Wii version.

      I'm not as ugly as Midnight Rider and BlackTarFeather, but you know what, the fascists banned the free speech of those they didn't like either.  If somebody bans me for stating the truth that Namco doesn't have to create an inferior port of their best game just to please the Wii's audience then, I hope they at least have the cahones to put in bold letters on their front page "VGChartz We Don't Tolerate Open and Accurate Discussions of Gaming Just What is Pleasing to 360 and Wii Fans" on their front page.

@Garamond: Isn't it better they come out and say that, or maybe even say they believe their game won't be successful on the Wii, rather than saying Wii isn't capable when a much less capable console is getting it?

then read my comment before that. if a wii version is made a normal person would compare it to its counterparts, once they see that the wii version looks crappier they'll come to the conclusion that it really is crappier. A psp version will still look crappier but people won't hold it to the same standard as the console versions because its on a handheld, you don't expect the same kind of graphical quality

Just saying, since you want to bring in the recession because of a game costing a whopping $10 more. Plenty of money to be gained and ultimately saved by swapping your Wii for a 360 with you worrying about the recession and all and talking about how much of an issue it is becoming for people.

By the way, I am not saying you should trade in your Wii for an Arcade, just saying that for those here who are upset and really do actually care about Tekken would save a lot of money this way.

Yeah, if it's on the PSP, they have no grounds to say the Wii can't handle it. That is just plain bullshit.

Controls I might buy, but as stated there are options beyond the Wiimote and nunchuck. They could just include a token control setup for those, but makt it clear that joysticks or the classic/gamecube controller is what it's made for.

Try to get your head out the HD clouds and realize some people might like the Wii and their Wii games.

Please start making sense. So a crappier looking version would be better than a better looking one? No one who bought the Wii was expecting HD graphics.
