Actually the dangers of inbreeding are more hyperbole then they are substance. The reality is that once scientists really studied the phenomena in earnest they found that humans are incredibly resilient when it comes to inbreeding. In fact it is theorized that our species was in a bottle neck up until the end of the last ice age. So out most distant ancestors were also prolific when it came to inbreeding. This may be why modern humans are actually fairly consistent in our genetic makeup.

Anyway if your argument is that there is a significant chance of bad defects from such a union. Well I wouldn't hold my breath. The reality is you need to inbreed for a great many generations before you even see a chance for serious defects. Even then the margin for them to happen is only slightly larger then free breeders. It is really a baseless fear, and more of a ghost story.

Further more most laws regarding this kind of relationship are entirely about whether they could get legally married, and I think a few states do actually permit this union. As far as I know it is not illegal for a married couple to have sex. Anyway there are few states that actually have the laws let alone enforce them. That would preclude them having sex. The sex police are far more troubled by child molestation and rape.

Should he or shouldn't he. Damned if I know. I for one have never let social taboos dictate how I will think or feel. However I don't place a lot of stock in what other people think about me. I have always been a oddity rather then one in the crowd. So I could give less then a damn what other people think, but for some people that is really important. So perhaps the cost for some casual recreational sex may be far more then he would like. Worth pondering for sure.
