Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Is DS Lite still the best or is DSi truely the new King? What do you think

The flash card support is not the same as the flash cart devices that the DSi doesn't support. All the flash carts before the DSi existed do not work on the DSi.

Like what devices?

That's piracy. Nintendo does not want that.
Also DSi> DSL Sorry I already have a GBA.  Also I kept my DSL. So no worries on the
GBA games

DSi> DSL, no matter how you look at it. You ca argue that the DSL has compatibility with GBA, but the DSi is waaaaaaaaaaaay better than DSL.

Yeah... because it offers a horrible selection of DSiWare and a crappy browser? Also, most of the flash card things don't support the DSi so that's keeping a lot of people from moving.

?

It has better & bigger screens, better lighting, you can surf the web, has flash card support, has DSiware, better sound quality.....

Isn't that enough?? We are talking about which is better as a console... DSi wins

The screen is only slightly bigger. I don't quite care about sound. These are things on the bottom of my list that needed to be improved especially if it cost more than the DSL.

The browser is a nice addition, but the only times I can imagine it would be useful is when wifi isn't around.

The flash card support is not the same as the flash cart devices that the DSi doesn't support. All the flash carts before the DSi existed do not work on the DSi.

The DSi is too small of an improvement to justify the higher price tag.

Dude, we are not talking about certain things that you like better; or things you think are more important than others. The question was "which one is better as a console" and obviously, that's the Dsi.

Again, better and bigger screens, better sound, web browser, flash card support, DSi WAre (Would keep getting better and better) > DSL

so by your logic PS3 is 100 times better than wii

If the Wii and PS3 both had the exact same controls, game library, system performance, maker, and OS... then sure.

I'm sure I didn't need to point out how bad that analogy was but it really is awful.

Oh yeah, of course, by all means... I mean, i have all the games that i like in the ps3 right.. like zelda, mario, smash, mario kart, all the VC and Wiiware games, and of course the  motion controllers, and let's not forget that there's "only" a $150 price difference....

Dude, do you really think before posting? The only game I really want from the Ps3 is God of War III. At the opposite side, the Wii has a lot of games, incluiding my favorite of all time, that i want..... Wii > Ps3 any day, IMO

PS Bigger Screens in the DSi is something good. Bigger console (ps3 over wii)... not good for my back

PS*** But that doesn't matter... this is about DSi kicking DSL's ass  xD

I bought it to play games, this isn't an ideal device for listening to music or browsing the web. DSi is more expensive and it doesn't improve my gaming experience. DSiWare is also nothing to boast about as of yet.

Well I didn't have a GBA but I wanted to play GBA games. So if I bought a DSi I'd have new features I don't care about and would still need to buy a GBA.

anyone answering actually have both (or for some of you, even one? fucking trolls)
dsi is better imo.
