Wow...you really know how to make smashing threads :P

Sony copies Nintendo in every way imaginable and gets all the credit from Sony fanboys who salivate for Sony's former dominance. They can't moneyhat Nintendo to death and out perform them with Microsoft standing in their way.

The PC market, they have been toying around with this stuff for quite some time now.

Well, they did a worse job than Sony at marketing that stuff. But still i only have you word to go by.

It's not that they did a worse job at marketing it, it's that they didn't have any real good apps for it. Where do you think Sony and MS got the idea from?

Well MS got the idea from Sony. You're so going to hate me for saying that. I'm only joking.

Erm, no, I don't hate you for saying that. It very well could be true. Fact of the matter is, Sony copied it as well.

Past Avatar picture!!!

Don't forget your helmet there, Master Chief!

I predict Sony will bring out Eye Kinetic and Eye Play and Eye Sports for the PS3, some of the games/exercises will require the PS Wand....there's already Eye Pet confirmed this year. They'll either make Eye Kinetic more like Wii Fit or they'll create another one to mimic either. I predict all this crap coming out by the end of 2010 at the latest.

That would be so cool. I hope they do that because they need to do it right. I just think they won't market it well, but maybe this time they will. It's like they had a goldmine on their hands but they did nothing with it until someone else did it and now it looks like they copied. I'm not saying Sony never copies though. Everyone copies.

Whether they'll correctly market it or not is a whole other story, but with the buzz around Natal and with the success of Wii Fit, Wii Play, Wii Sports, etc and with SCEE finally releasing their first major PS Eye game (EoJ was the first but made by SCEJ), I am pretty confident in my predictions that by the end of 2010 we'll see all this shit.

It seems like Sony does everything first? Are you kidding?

Tell me where these things came from: D-Pad, Shoulder buttons, Analog Triggers, Diamond set-up for the four face buttons(SNES in case you were wondering), rumble, analog stick..

They're all mainstays of the Sony Playstation Controller and they're all copied from previous efforts. Even the new Playstation Motion is a rip off of the Wii Remote as it just reverses the light source and camera. This generation the major new innovations have been:

- split controller, each being motion sensitive
- controller speaker
- IR pointer

And now the others follow once again. Although Microsoft seem to be innovating, Sony are copying almost directly. No matter how long they've been working on this, it's just going to be seen a a Wii ripoff, they aren't bringing anything new to the table at all

You missunderstand, i'm talking about motion control. They actually had a good thing with the Eye Toy but they didn't market it well and it just got left behind while now MS is making Natal.

And as it was shown others were working on the motion before the Wii. Sony wasn't working on it but some guys were.

Besides there's no need to get all crazy.

False. Motion control was already out on the PC over a decade ago. The Sidewinder Freestyle Pro. Does the design remind anyone else of something?

Yeah, but Sony did do a lot with motion first with their Eye Toy. Only Wii turned it into a controller and did a better job with it. But see the guys were working on the motion controller back in 2005 or 06. I'm not saying they didn't get the idea from somewhere but that's pretty far back.

I meant that you know how to attract people in your threads (mostly because of the shocking title). "Smashing" might not be the best word that I could have chosen though. But the idea is that: you're good at this :)
