Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Rogue Leader = Frustrating

I've been trying to complete the game legitimately, and it is a lot harder than i remember it being with all the secret ships and upgrades turned on. No advanced shields makes the A-Wing virtually unusable, and the lack of homing capabilities in secondary weapons makes them more or less useless too.

The Battle of Endor is especially frustrating. I keep randomly crashing into TIE Fighters with a death-wish, and those Star Destroyers are cheap as hell.

Getting the Tech Upgrades just seems to magnify the difficulty of it all, given that they often put them out of the way such that not only are they hard to find, but you risk your mission finding them
Still a fun game, but damn.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Ya I just tried to replay the game about a month ago. I had the hardest time on the last two levels. The Death Star in particular took like 6 days to beat.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

I loved this game so much. It would be awesome if they made a Wii Rogue Squadron game.

I've been playing Star Wars flight sims since the mid-90s, so Rogue Leader wasn't quite as frustrating to me. Haven't played it in years, though. Maybe I'll fire it up again?

I liked the Gamecube game and really want them at F5 to make a starfox game.

Are we talking about the second or third installment? The Last level on the third one was ****ing impossible for me at the end escaping the Death Star.

Or was that the second game.... wait, do we do that in both games? If so, then both gave me trouble.

To sum it up, I fail at escaping the Death Star. I could be the hero who destroys the Death Star, but I'll apparently never be the hero who lives to see the celebration.

It's really weird, because I'm normally a complete ace at things that require quick reflexes and tight maneuvering. I blame the lame controls and camera!

We're talking about this game right?

If so, I agree.  The last levels were a pain in the ass, and getting some of the gold medals were damn near impossible.

I liked this game much better.
