I think what we can learn from those pics is that photo's of the actual game (that aren't bullshots) don't do that game justice....that goes for all games.

Something is seriously wrong with those IGN shots.. I mean take this for example. Taken while playing in the incar view with a normal camera pointed at the tv. Doesnt look anywhere near as jaggy as those photos.

My guess would be the IGN photos are either captured on a crap tv display/settings but how knows cause GT5P definitely looks like the pic i just post above.

Anywho.. i think if Forza and GT where combined into 1 game we all would be in racing sim heaven. At the end of they day Xbox has their own racing sim and Sony has theirs as well. They are both quality titles worth a play for any car fanatic.

I agree.  Take for instance PGR4.  In the photo mode there is and option to add a 3D effect to the photo so that if you have a pair of Red and Blue 3D glasses you can view the image in 3D.  When you take a picture in photo mode the system is rendering a shot.  This image will have added effects such as advanced lighting, shadows, blue, focus, anti-alising, contrast, brightness, ect ect.  All of this make the shot look much better than ingame.  Most of what we have seen from Forza 3 is from the photo mode with exception for the videos of actual gameplay.  Most of the images you see for GT5P are from the photo mode.

Thanks for proving which one looks better. You wouldn't need to stoop that low if you were confident enough in Forza 3's visuals to make a fair comparison.

There's no photo mode in GT5 Prologue by the way.

Im just saying that you shouldnt count your chickens before they hatch. For all you know the million poly cars are the ones on the dealership floors.

They might be prerendered images but they not definitely not created by the wallpaper people...

First, the 1st image of the GT-R doesn't even exist in the game.

Second, the images you posted were obviously captured by a crap low res capture card.
and of course the haters will start to use them as the most reliable source to put down GT5P.

It's pretty obvious those pictures come from a sdtv which is why it looks so much worse than it does on my hdtv :P

Well, actually, no. look at the last set of pictures, right above your quoted post. Those pics were taken on an LCD HiDef TV (dunno if it is 720P or 1080P) if you look at it, you can see reflection of light off the shiny frame of the TV, and a spot of diffused light on the HD TV. Now, look at the cars in those pics. You can see the same jagged edging on the cars. So seriously, stop saying GT5P looks better than Forza3.

If you really want to argue that GT5P looks better that Forza3, then lets do that, then Forza4 (when they make it) can be pitted against GT5 since we are moving Forza 3 back to GT5P. And we can just keep doing this so Forza wins every time. Do you really want that?
