Incoming Halo 2.5 Reviews…7/10

September 23rd, 2007 m0dus

The web is alight with Halo 2.5 reviews as the embargo for MS’ premier franchise is lifted.

This is MS’ attempt to prevent being 3rd place yet again in this generation’s console race. Everything hinges on a game which has had a limitless development and marketing budget.

Ars Technica were lucky enough to get a review copy from MS and they gave the game a respectable (albeit inflated score) of 7/10.

A brief summary:

* Small arenas - total lack of scope
* Halo 2 HD graphics
* Short campaign

Better luck next time MS.

Be sure to check back for The SDF’s forthcoming review of Halo 2.5.

                 With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Proud supporter of all 3 console companys

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

At what point in time do we start viewing this site as a bad wii60 joke told too many times? Funny...but after you know the punchline it doesn't get the same laugh.

Can't say I'm looking forward to their "reviews" anymore, because they all spew forth the same verbal diarrhea:

"Animations are choppy because the 360 doesn't have the power of the Cell"

"Lack of variety in textures because the 360 doesn't have the storage of Blu-ray"

"Game levels takes very long to load, because the 360 doesn't have a hard drive to cache data like the PS3"

"The game shows promise, but I will wait until the superior PS3 version comes out to play Halo 3 the way it was intended to be".

Funny SDF Halo 3 video.

I never understood SDF... is it satire or are these people serious?
Honestly, I can't tell anymore
