Er.. is this Wiiware? As Ben said, it looks like it can be done on the PSP

That's very very wrong. Even the PS2 couldn't handle this game entirely. Odin Sphere had massive slowdown. Why don't people appreciate 2D games?

I'm starting to feel old and very sad for the current state of the industry. People think that 2D games are never worth full price anymore.... What the hell.

It seems we are fossils, my friend.

Long live 2-D!

We fossils are many. And we've still got the Castelvania kids in our camp.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

True... there are a few die hards out there.  Personally I'll always appreciate true 2D art over 3D realism.  3D art is great too, but it's not inherintly better than 2D art.  Oh well.  I'm going to go play Odin Sphere and then come back and lecture young whippersnappers about the good ole days when we played Pong and liked it.  Come on people I'm only 21... is my appreciation of 2D console games already that out of date?

i dunno, i'm 23 and when i played odin sphere for the first time i was blown away by the art style.  The graphics are not that great, but the art is spectacular.  Perhaps i'm wrong here but it seems that people that grew up in the 3d era (ps1 and beyond) generally don't have the same appreciation.

????

This is very off-topic, and very unusual, but when did you "fossils" start gaming? I'm just curious. I would just like to know if I started gaming close to when you started.

I started when I was about 3 with the NES, so that puts me at about 15 years of gaming.

I just thought up this question naznatips brought up the idea that appreciating 2D games is could be going out of date.

Edit: I should add; How long have you been playing games?

It's ok, Naz. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. The important thing is that you are pleased with the art direction, as I am, and so are others.

Silent, I was gaming on the Atari 2600 and the Commodore 64, as well as a 386 DOS based PC and an Apple IIe. I guess that puts me at about 23 years of gaming.

my parents bought me an NES at age 3, i can't remember that moment but i've been gaming since then. I played the NES with the controller upside down and i refused to let anyone correct me, i was a stubborn guy. Up until high school i still played the NES with controller upside down.
