Forums - Sony Discussion - PS3 Slim Confirmed? Lawyers Demand SPOnG Removes Pix

What was that? Like a joke inside a joke? or a joke of a fake?

Ugh, Spong...

Any way, I don't see why Spong would take down anything if the letter didn't even provide qualification of any sort as to the ownership of the images. If this WERE truely the case, everyone would know it was Sony (who else would own the images?) and the lawers would have just said they were representing Sony.

The request makes no claim as to who they say owns the images, so why would Spong feel the need to obey this request. Spong SHOULD have requested evidence that the said images were a violation of copyright or obtained illegally before acquiecing.

PS3 slim on its way

I realized that this news is already quite old now but I just saw the pictures in question on the web (End Gadget) in regards to the rumor slim vision PS3.

I am suprised that no one that understands chinese have standout and point out that the PS3 that where shown in those pictures are indeed normal 120GB PS3s that we see in shops today.

On each picture on the top left hand side those chinese letters can be roughly translated as upper casing and another as Lower casing. Which means the "Slim" version that we see in the picture are indeed the top part and another bottom part of a normal Playstation 3.

Why after all this talking on the internet no one bothered asking what those chinese words mean is beyond me.

Sweet!!!

lets hope so

This looks like confirmation to me - wonder if Sony will be pissed that one of their biggest bombshells for E3 was leaked.

The only question now - the price. Will they drop the price, or will slimline model be enough to boost sales on its own? Slimline + GT5 + FFXIII seems like a good Xmas IMO :)

I don't see anything there that confirms a slim PS3 as much as i'd like one.

I wonder if James Lan has high speed internet

I don't know any chinese so i can't check for myself. It's however quite hilarious, if it were true. I wouldn't be surprised if it were, since the internet isn't really about fact-checking or objectiveness. Poor Sony defence force.
