Well ,the Playstation 3 actually has as games Virtua Fighter 5 Resistence Fall of Man Call of Duty 3 F1 Def Jam Icon NBA Street Homecourt NBA College Hoops NBA 2K7 Motorstorm Fight Night Round 3 (Plus the offers of the Playstation store as Tekken Dark Ressurrection ,Flow ,Gran Turismo HD etc ..) And in some days it will have FEAR Oblivion Virtua Tennis 3 Rainbow Six Vegas So the PS3 at least have 10-15 good games,some of them great and some exclusives among them .

For its price the PS3 is selling amazingly well but in general it isn't selling all that well for a new system ... Had the XBox 360 or Wii launched at $600 they wouldn't have sold as many units, but they have launched at a lower price and are (currently) selling better than the PS3 ... Currently, we only have enough data to show trends in Japan and in 2007 the Wii has sold 812,750 as compared to the PS3 which has sold 278,000 ...

9/10 ths of those games are available for the 360... So my question which relates back to the "Games" promotion.. Why would you trade in your 360, pay an extra 240 pounds, and then purchase the same games that you owned on the 360... Do people in the UK really have that much money to burn?

Well NBA Street Homecourt ,NBA College Hoops ,Def Jam Icon are being released at the same time on both consoles.From now on the "its already in the X360 " can be used both ways .If you want exclusives you still have F1 ,Motorstorm ,Virtua Fighter 5 and Resistence Fall of Man .Refering to trading the X360 for the PS3 I dont know ,I have heard its happening but dont know the magnitude of this .Probably isnt a enourmous amount of X360 owners ,but what I know is that there are a lot of european X360 owners really pissed off with the X360 technical issues ...they have to send the console to germany for reparation each time it is broken and this seems to happen more often that what they would like .Thats one reason why some people are trading their X360 .Plus ,Playstation here is really a bigger name than X360 ,outside the UK X360 is struggling and paying for the online isnt very good regarded either .Paying 240 pounds more is an investment to save the Live fee over the next years .

gebx : you want to know why ? Let's see : - compatible (well, sort of) with their old library of PS2 games, with hopes of them being upscaled to 720p - not plagued (yet ?) with horrendous reliability issues like the XB360 - "free" online - more than shooters and racers - especially, big good games, like JRPG. No, not crap like Enchanted Arms, but FFXIII, shiro kishi monogatari. And MGS, ... - region free for PS3 games (is the XB360 region free ?)

Diomedes - I just wanna say this really quick. :) Those games your saying are out. Came out in MARCH... or LATE febuary. Both to late in febuary to make a impact. November-Febuary sales there were no games, besides Resistance. Almost every game you list there came out within 2 days of the end of febuary, or march. The sales numbers we are looking at are NOT march/april. We are juding the PS3 sales on nov-jan. Febuary numbers arent even out yet. How can you say the 'sales' of the PS3 are sucking with games? PS3 in japan has like 3 games worth buying, and for the j-gamer... about... 1... possibly 2. That is NOT impressive.

I didnt say that the PS3 sales suck .I think they are quite good ,especially because it has had to face the usual onslaught of the first months of the Nintendo console and the best momentum of the X360 with GOW and Lost Planet.Now things will improve ,games will be out on the two consoles at the same time ,and if the PS3 as few exclusives the X360 doesnt have any worth mentioning until july(mass effect ) and not many more after that.

Diomedes - I'm just saying, the PS3 numbers that exist today... Dont have games selling the consoles. Japan still dont have games, USA, is starting to get them as of last week. :p All I'm saying. Not saying your saying the PS3 sales are bad. I'm just saying. Those games your saying are out for the PS3... might be out for you to buy, but their not gonna show up in the numbers for another month.
