So where did the 10% new owners statistic from?

It kind of sounds like that 90% of all statistics are made up on the spot statistic.

Who measured the 10% and who claimed it? I haven't heard it before, and I personally think the new gamers thing is bigger than you think.

Basically, the Wii is selling well because Nintendo fans are lapping it up quickly cause it's cheap, but above and beyond all of this it is far more popular with many people who haven't ever owned a Nintendo console, never owned a GameCube or haven't played since the NES or the SNES or even N64 generation but have come back into gaming because of Wii.
