Why does this site only record approx. 58k for Japanese PS3 sales when numerous other sites are reporting approx.. 62,500?  Makes me wonder if the PS3 is always undertracked by this site and if it is in other regions as well.  BTW, the 62,500 reportedly comes from Media Crate.

Media create and famitsu always report different figures (media crate almost always higher on ps3 lower on Wii)

From what i've seen this site is always somewhere in between.

It's very possible that it's within the margin of error and that Famitsu reports different numbers than say...Famitsu. Maybe you're the one that's wrong and not this site, and maybe you should go and think about what you just wrote.

To be clear, my statements are not an accusation of bias. Rather a suggestion that the data collection methods might be flawed.

Data collection methods are are never going to be perfect regardless of source. I don't understand why you would assume VGchartz numbers are more flawed unless you have actually looked into the methodologies of both.

So i'm guessing that if this site started reporting higher numbers of PS3 units sold each week then anywhere else then all of a sudden you would say the other sites are wrong and this one is right.....Think about it dude whether you like it or not this site is arguably the most accurate out of any website on the internet.  

If you see higher numbers elsewhere for your favorite console, that does not mean that it is more correct.  

And every good website has a margin of error which is (corrrect me if i''m wrong) around 10%  

So next time think before you post...

Didn't Famitsu say PS3 sold about 57k?
