http://www.gameinformer.com/News/Story/200709/N07.0913.1222.50792.htm

I'm thinking it's a PS3/360/PC game. It's a horror game too, there has been a big lack of those so far this generation.

Am i the only one that sees some Bioshock influence ?

Cool...the cover definitely has me interested.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Perhaps some Bioshock influence in the armor, but it's kind of a stretch.

As me and my friends frequently discuss, Steampunk is becoming the "in" thing quickly. Not sure if we like it, because some movies and games could really ruin it, just like cyberpunk got old after The Matrix got popular.

Don't know if steampunk's really in this game, but I guess his armor is pretty...unique.

Out of curiosity what's steampunk?

Also it's good to see some horror games finally, next gen horror games could be amazing, with the amount of stuff they can do now in atmosphere just look at Bioshock.

Condemned 2, Silent Hill 5, Resident Evil 5, a new Alone in the Dark and now this, I am really hoping for great stuff from next gen horror games.

Steampunk is a genre where the setting is often in the era of steam-power...19th century usually, but it mixes science fiction into it by having futuristic devices, powered by steam or similar means. For instance, Wild Wild West, as crappy as it is, has giant robotic devices walking around, powered essentially by 19th century technology.

Another genre considered steampunk is where it is the future, but the technology is still 19th century in nature, steam-powered and such, like the style of Bioshock I guess. It's becoming increasingly popular in the mainstream, which is cool, but it'll get overused to the point of insanity I'm sure.

Cyberpunk tends to be set in the near future...focusing on AI, advanced computers, hacking, etc. Dystopian futures, overbearing technological powers, etc...it's all pretty much become the definition of a mainstream sci-fi nowadays.

Bioshock isn't really steampunk - its more like a 1950's utopian ideal.

The difference engine is the source of the steampunk aesthetic.

Yeah, I know, Bioshock isn't steampunk...it's likely the product of it's growing popularity though.
