I wanted to buy a LCD screen but I wanted to know which company makes the best tvs.

From personal experience, Id say it goes like this

Sony>Samsung>Mitsubishi>Everyone else

Sony's are extremely expensive, but your paying for the best
Samsungs are a great bargain if money is the issue but you still want a great HDTV

Kind of like how Mercedes>BMW>Audi>Lexus>Everyone else

...And here comes the bashing :P

Just go with Sony, a safe bet if you don't want to pay unreasonable amounts of money.

If you go with any of the upper-end namebrands, you'll be fine. Sharp, Sony, Samsung... All fine manufacturers.

It all depends on size of screen, your wallet, and what you need. There is no quick answer to this question.

I recently bought a 26" LCD Samsung TV and I am loving it.

But yeah, Samsung, Sony, sharp are all good. It's all a matter of what size you want and getting a good deal somewhere.
