Wow lol is that dial up??

Dial up doesn't go over 56k which is equivalent to about .056 Mb/s.  His speed is really slow though. He should have at least 76 Mb/s dl if he has Verizon. They now go up to 3Mb/s and 7Mb/s in my area, which isn't too far from where he lives. His ping is Ok though.

This is mine and i've have never seen any lag in Mario Kart.   Does it even exist? What i have seen however is synching issues;

red shells failing to lock onto a target

people being transported back and forward on the track instantaneously

things just appearing on the track in front of me

finishing a race ahead of someone only to find out you are behind them

I would assume this is the sum total of the messed up internet connections of the people i am competing against, rather than a problem with my internet but since i know nothing about nothing when it comes to computers i will defer to other people who know more about this kind of stuff.

Dude wtf?!?! thats sick internet speed!!!1

Yeah, i wondered about it too because it's just one of the normal ISPs, yet my speed is alot higher than the average for my city or for my ISP.  I don't know how accurate these sites are though.

should work for mario kart wii and most other online games

brawl on the other, needs an almost godly connection to not get lagalicious.

He's getting the lan adapter so he'll be fine.  The Lan adapter improves ping rates by quite a bit.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Campus connections can be nice. Especially since the tech office decided to stop trying to limit people's download size per month.

My campus is alright, far faster than my home, at least (ahh, DSL)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

ugh:/ i hate it. but i've got good p2p connection(especially direct connect) at night when nobody is using pc in my flat - 600kb/s download speed at night rocks;) psp online is great(heroes 2 is godly even with this crappy connection)

I just checked my work connection, and it seems they have an internal download limit, but not an upload limit on my workstation

1.6 down, 3 up.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I never lag online

Mine is usually about 2Mb and 0.3Mb on these things.

I assume the ping rate is better the lower it is, because I tried different servers and the further away they are the higher the ping figure. (600+ for a server in Sydney)
