Cool...doesn't mean it'll get anywhere near 360 or PS3 quality, but it could mean some good-looking Wii games...much better than anything the PS2 or Xbox could do at least.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

To Where? I like the "Built-in libraries" and the "Extensive rendering capabilities". Let's see if developers can do proper Wii games with these... you know which developers...

I dunno... I wouldn't hold my breath. I suspect it would lead to faster "ports" of PS2 and original Xbox games rather than graphically innovative titles. The Wii architecture doesn't seem to be nearly as complex as the 360 and PS3 and I think a ground up developed application is always going to outperform a middleware app. Just look at Stranglehold on the 360/PS3. The graphics are nice, but they are nowhere near what they could be. The game is on the Unreal engine. Bioshock is also an Unreal engine as well albeit a heavily modified one. Bioshock is graphically amazing but there are areas that have issues graphically.

I would like to see developers get used the hardware and build ground-up titles. It wasn't something they wanted to do in the beginning, but with the Wii's install base growing by the second, they can't afford to continue to ignore it. We also have some great 1st party games coming -- SMG for instance -- that are going to better show what the hardware can do. That will raise the bar hopefully for any newcomers...
