Yeah and speaking of funny topics, why don't you tell everybody what your original name used to be on this site (if you have the balls that is).  Wasn't it something like...Nintendo_Fanboy or NintendoFan?

Yeah I have to agree with them on this ioi, your name use to be Nintendo_Fanboy. I remember that awhile back when I joined the site at the begining. And I'm starting to feel the same way like the others.

The only problem I have against game sales is that some people can buy 360, Wii, and PS3 and trade them right back in or get there money back, but NPD or whatever you get your sources still record those as consumers buying the consoles, well really the consumer didn't like the console. So I have a hard time trusting sales period. Most likely out of those 70,000 Xbox 360 that were sold this week in America most of them probably got token back to the store because consumers didn't like it or vice-versa with the Wii,PS3,PSP, or DS. I just find sales a real gimmick and they are nothing but estimates as some members said above. And that's what makes this site sometimes un-fun in my opinion.  It makes me really skip the sales part of the site and really care more about the forums.

But again thats my personal opinion on game sales. I just forget totally about the sales and focus on the forums.

WTF! why do you always attack sony fans for no reason. Sharky said he couldn't beleive the PS3 was only selling 20,000 less units than the 360. Leo-j then said that the PS3 also had a boost because of two new games are out. Its you who always tries to turn things against the sony fans. Give it a rest.

Wait until the august NPD numbers come out then we can yell at him ;)

 Leo, if you actually read Sharky's post he wants ioi to be anti PS3 and pro 360 meaning putting the PS3 as selliing 5 consoles a week and the 360 selling 1 million. 

I have both a xbox 360 and a PS3 and I'm not really getting a kick out of this thread...

This thread is funny. I bet sharky is actually a NPD employee trying to discredit ioi. All his post are about npd this npd that ioi must be wrong etc. I come here to see ioi's numbers wether they are right or wrong because unlike the npd they are available every week with alot of analysis and information to see the current trends etc. Is nice to be able to search for your favorite game and see how well it has sold etc. Hell is nice to see the npd numbers since this site uses it to help set a benchmark etc so numbers especially recently haven't been that far off. Basically I am glad this site is available for us gamers curious about videogame sales as the alternative would be to wait every month sometimes longer to get numbers from npd and just see what analysist have to say rather then getting constant numbers that we can analyse and discuss ourselves often on a daily basis. If you think ioi's is baised then just stop coming here and find yourself another source :)

Hi everybody, I'm ioi. I'm trying to make vgchartz the most reliable source for videogame statistics. This will make me a lot of money. However, I put silly brand loyalty biases far ahead of my own financial situation. So I'm working around the clock to undermine my very own site with false numbers. Oh sure it may ruin my business, but that's just a small price to pay to see nerds on the net feel proud of the fake numbers I put up.
