Well even though its not doing bad , I agree that both the Zelda and Metroid series are slowing down a lot ... Thats bad because IMO both are way batter than Mario and Pokemon :?

You do realise that Metroid was NEVER big in japan right?

::laugh:: no legs huh. This thread goes along with the one that said Wii's Japan base was crumbling. I'm not sure what alternate reality you people are from

There is 19 million DS sold in Japan and a Zelda game sells less then 1 million? I know that zelda games is not that popular in Japan I asumed with such big userbase it would have sold better. It just proves that big userbase does not always help. Wonder how much Crisis Core will sell this week.

Please explain how either are slowing down. Statistically speaking, MP3 is doing far better after launch than MP2. TP is Still selling and will reach over 5 mill (including GC version) by years end. That's better than Wind Waker. How is this declining?! seriously, isn't that the definition of inclining? Going upwards?

Just kiss the tip.

Zelda PH is @ No. 21 with 11,062 this week and 798,459 lifetime. Should hit 1 Milion in Japan by the end of 2007. Expect sales to pickup during the holidays. Poor sales of Zelda TP ruffled a few feathers in Japan, but Zelda PH has done well.

Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

it has done great ....not many games arrive to the 1 million mark

ff12rw didnt even come close....

funny thing is that there is a strong possibility that the 2 best sold handheld games this year in japan will be both on the PSP....

Considering how utterly pathetic software sales on the PSP are, yeah, that is kind of funny.

Sign the Resident_Evil_5_Petition for a Wii release or Dark_Samus is going to come get you.

I am playing it in Japanese (I can speak/read Japanese). I am almost up to the second dungeon. I would be further but I can't really play it when I'm tired as I need to read a lot of Japanese which is tiring. Plus I need to enter all the words I don't understand into my dictionary which gets annoying after a while.

Anyway, I must say it is really good. I was fearing it would be much too easy but am glad to say this isn't the case. My least favorite Zelda is Wind Waker, despite being blown away by its visuals. I found it way too easy and didn't die even once.

I won't go into the specifics to avoid spoilers, but my first dungeon was a pressured experience. I died and was penalized much more than other Zelda games. I really enjoy feeling this kind of fear in games. Keeps me on my toes and trying really hard. Huzzah!
