hahaha, oh your serious? Well no, neither of those 2 stand a chance.

God of War might do close to 1,000,000

FF13 could manage 1.5 million on PS3 (thanks mostly to Japan)


Gran Turismo 5 is the only game with a chance. I could see GT5 doing 2.5 Million no problem, possibly 3 million.

No.  All the GT3 numbers prove is that GT was more popular.  Since Halo 3 will soar past GT4's mark that means that right now Halo is more popular.  When GT5 comes out all this may change again, but personally I doubt it.  Halo is a beast.

Neither GOW III, FF XIII, & GT5 will outsell HALO 3 1st week sales!!

Outside the OT:
I have to agree with "the kid!"
Sales doesn't always make a game more popular than the other.

Look at SONIC!! It's the second most known, most recognized, video game icon after MARIO.

While all the SONIC games has never been, & maybe never will, have sale as big as the GT or the HALO franchise, still he's more popular than those two combined!

amount of viewers says whats most popular fo tv, and sales say whats most popular for games.

Well...
MARIO had a TV show, a reaally reaally bad one TV show in the early 90's!! But, it doesn't effect his popularity...

HALO had its own comic , or a graphic novel as far as I know...

But I don't know about GT though. Just in games maybe?
So how can GT be more popular than those 2 above if popularity comes from viewers outside the gaming world!!

Btw, SONIC's popularity doesn't come bcause a TV show!! An 'epic' rivalry between NINTENDO & SEGA in the 90's what makes his well known popularity. When people talk about MARIO they will talk or at least remember about SONIC too.

lulz the battle between twingo and john_117 is one of the most epic battles I've seen on here in a while!!! and amazing!!!

back to the OP though, I would honestly have to say no and no. Also I believe GT5 will hit at least 2 mill, possible a little over 3 million opening week but not beating Halo 3 either. Halo is just a monster in terms of sales.
