Forums - Sony Discussion - What ever happened to PSone games on the PS3?

Its about license agreements and junk like that. The US has one of the most messed up licensing maze companies have to walk through. Even if they can put a game up on the store in Japan they still have to go through a separate process to put games up on the other stores.

blame the american rating system.

they need to be reviewed again.. and thats takes a while. and many people don't want to pass over that again.

sony is slow themself also, though they make something to improve that.

I wanted MGS1 on there when i had my ps3, but no, it never came!

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

I'm still waiting for the sequels of Wild Arms, Suikoden and Syphon Filter.

There already some ps1 games on the PSN I have seen many try a account under different regions.

Perhaps they just aren't bringing in the money and SONY's showing them less support now...

Silent Hull was put online a week or 2 ago.

The weird thing about Silent Hill though, is that it has been taken down again apparently. I can't find it on my store anymore, so I don't know if it was up for more than a week or two.

I'm sure Square Enix can get a shit load of easy cash by selling FFVII-IX on the PSP and PSN... considering how many people started gaming from the last generation to not be able to play VII.

FFVII was put up in Japan today.
