Forums - Gaming Discussion - Should I trade in Super Paper Mario (Wii)

thanks for the input. My wife is in labor right now, and we look to have our fourth child some time real soon.

After the baby is born, and on the way to the hospital with the kids I'll probably stop by Gamestop and trade the game in. (I have to do this by the 11th of this month, otherwise trade in value is only $25.)

have your kids played it? It would nice experience for them if they did.

- has no idea how old da kids are-

Hold em or fold em haha. Fold em.

And due it before that offer goes away.

Because $35 is less than retail price, it would be smarter for you to keep the game. And besides, Super Paper Mario is a good game, and because it is a Mario game, its value will only increase in the future. Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64 is worth around $100, mint in the box, now. Keep it. Do not sell it. Just work for more money, to buy more games, so you can build up a collection.

For example, the only Xbox games I have left are the two Halos. The rest are gone. I

You're going to want to get Kotor and Fable right god damned now. I command you.

And fagarcia: Might as well get the money well it's high and get the game again later when it's cheap. Abuse the system. Feels good doesn't it.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I keep every game I buy; I love to wander at my collection *everybody stares at him shaking their heads*

Not everybody is rich like you or wants to build collections.  Some of us actually play the games, enjoy them, and then play more games.

It's good to keep games so you can play them later, but there's no shame in getting $35 for a trade-in...that's actually a very good deal.  You can't get full retail for a used game anywhere, so I don't know why you even bring that up.  And it's obviously not "mint in box" because he played it....so it won't be worth $100 til 2050 or something...

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

traded it in yesterday (Sunday); and got MP3 for $15 plus tax. I finished the intro, and am on the first planet; Bryno I think?

My son played it, but he is our oldest and is only 5; he could only get so far before he needed help.

SPM was a great game, but for me the replay value just was not there, and I usually tend to keep the classics. Just couldn't see myself picking it up and playing through it again, when there are so many more games coming out.

1. I am not rich.

2. I play games, and collect them.

3. $35 is good compared to other amounts, but it's still less than retail, which means a loss would still be taken, assuming it was purchased at retail price. Therefore, it is smarter to keep the game, than to lose some money, by trading it in.

4. You can't get retail for a used game, which is why you keep it. That is why I brought it up.

5. "Mint" and "new" are two different things. If they were the same thing, we would not have two words for them. I have many games that I have played, and remain in mint condition. And in 2050, chances are, Super Paper Mario, if in mint condition, and if scarce, should be expected to be worth around $100 Canadian dollars. Super Mario RPG, mint in the box, for the Super Nintendo, is worth around $100, and it's only around 10 years old. Paper Mario, which is even newer, is worth a lot of money, if found, mint in the box. You can have used, mint games. Yes, they exist.

6. You always, always, always have to reply with some kind of negative attitude to my posts, and I am not appreciating it.

I played KOTOR on the PC and I recently bought Fable because my original 'box died a fiery optical death right before the game released.
