Not quite. Mario Party 8 is actually playable and enjoyable. It gets scored low because it hasn't changed much from its previous games. Sequelitis.

Then again, Lair hasn't changed much/only gotten worst since Rogue Squadron 2: Rouge Leader...

I do believe that more hardcore nintendo fans attacked MP8 than defended it, but could be wrong.

During the Gamecube era, I was probably more in love with Nintendo than Soriku. It wasn't until Sony did such a great job on the PS3 and PSP that I started to like Sony. Seriously, you guys would have ripped me apart if I was still my nintendo loving/Sony hating self.

 Honestly, I don't...but occasionally I delude myself into thinking that people will retain what they have read for at least the first page of the thread
