Forums - Sales Discussion - Google Chrome flopped pretty bad, didn't it?

Really like to know how much of the market both surveys are covering. Each survey is going to give totally different results depending on who their marketshare is. I know the company I work for, that makes browser-based games has an entirely different skewing than both charts presented. So that makes it all the more interesting

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

It is 4 in this list and it is in version 1 and there isn't even an OS X or Linux version..

Opera is on version 9 and runs on just about everything and Chrome is somehow beating it.

anything and I mean ANYTHING is better than the garbage that's called Internet Explorer

I use Firefox myself

the thing about this particular situation is that it takes time for people to even find out about things like this.

Myself for instance didn't even know about Google chrome until about a month and a half ago. I switched immediately once I used it a few times and saw that it blew FF, Opera, and Safari (all of which were installed on my computer at the time and yes I did speed tests) out of the water. I have since introduced it at my work and with my family and successfully converted probably 10 people. But it takes a while for word of mouth to spread, besides 1.15% in a few months, that's pretty good.

How do Chrome's features compare to Opera?  I heard that Chrome doesn't have an ad blocker, is that true?

No, it has an ad blocker.

It has an ad blocker, and it does fairly well as far as I can tell. I've only had it fail on one site and that was... shall I say a less than reputable site...

I use it simply for the speed and I like the home screen with links to my most visited (because I usually hit the same 3-4 websites each time I get on the net)

Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

I mainly use IE, sometimes FF. I tried Chrome, wasn't anything impressive; didn't have or do anything that would make me use it over other browsers.

I've been using IE for years on my PCs (due to lazyness) and now I'm totally switched to Chrome. I don't care it flopped as long as Google don't halt it like they did with Goggle Notebook  Though I like Safari aesthetics better.
