F.E.A.R. 2.....but if you're truly looking for a scare, download SIREN: Blood Curse from the Playstation Store, trust me! You're talking to the survival horror King here :D

Pure garbage and SILENT HILL DON'T go together :D

when it comes to number 5 yes they do.

look at my name, i obviously like the other ones

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Wii Friend Code: 4094-4604-1880-6889

when you decide to buy a scary game again, consider Penumbra too, you can find it on retail or through GamersGate, Steam. it's effectively a first-person adventure, featuring a rather wonky combat. interaction is done with a cursor, like adventure games, but they are motion-based (click and drag forward to open a door, for example). the combat is done in the same way, you gotta swing a hammer or other weapon, and even though it sucks (at least in Overture, don't know about the other chapters) you can also hide yourself in the shadows to avoid it (sometimes).

it's presented in 3 parts, Overture, Black Plague and Requiem

Yeah, Overture is the best 'scary' game I've ever played, hands-down (though CoC: Dark Corners of the Earth has its moments, too.) Black Plague is solid but a lot more game-y (which is a negative in this case) and Requiem is basically a puzzle game that has virtually no connection to the prevoius two chapters except as an afterthought (and is easily the weakest of the three by a large margin).

You can also play the first chapter on GameTap if you have a membership.

Dark Corners of the Earth is one of the games I still wanna play some day. although I didn't went after the books, my interest in this type of story came up after playing Eternal Darkness, and CoC obviously appeared as a game I though I should play. considering what I am able to do to play it, it's just a matter of finding a good "source", but I still have other games to finish first so yeah, that's why I haven't played it yet anyway! :P

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

I'd recommend FEAR2. It's very shitty compared to FEAR1, but still so so much better than AITD.
