This is pulling a Gnizmo.

That's interesting.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

WoW likes his RPG's to be great.

Most of us will play any average JRPG and call it good. That's why WoW's opinions may look a bit strange.

I like my rpgs to be great too.

Everyone likes great RPG's, of course, but you still enjoy average and even below average one's in between, right? You would have to, or else you wouldn't be playing many RPG's. You did buy SO4, and I would say that's pretty average, not in the great category with Vesperia.

The thing with me is more along the lines of the fact that I distinguish between high quality and fun.

If someone is going to say that they love Tales of Symphonia and had a lot of fun playing it then I'm not going to disagree.  I had fun playing it too (most of the time).  If someone is going to say that the character designs are really good and the plot/story is great then I will laugh at them.

I'll check out Abyss and Vesperia eventually.  Right now I simply have too many unfinished games.

well haven't played verspera but have a question on it.

I have noticed that typically HD games this generation 'especially' the first time that series or whatever is moved to HD that the game length is been cut down big time.

How long is vespera compared to say tales of symphonia. Is it still take a good 40+ hours if you don't rush and enjoy?

that is one thing i have HATED so much with HD games, I go out and get a game that was sweet on PS2, GC or whatever, could be even earlier gen that was just released for the HD. Yet they seemed to have spent too much damn time making cutscenes and fancy graphics and backgrounds that they cut the length of the game in half.

Yes. ToV is 40+ hours.

First play through should be about 60 hours.

If you're rushing as fast as you can with no side quests on easy mode, 35-40 hours.

Symphonia>>>>>>>>>>>Vesperia by far. Symphonia had the battle system, it had the plot, it had everything, EVERYTHING was great in symphonia. I love the voice acting and im sorry But Lloyd>>>>>>>>Yuri compared to badassness.

From what I've played Vesperia blows Symphonia away.

have you lost your mind?

Lloyd's attack animations are better than Yuri's and that's about it.

Yuri and Emil>>>Lloyd.

It's a tough call but I have to go with Symphonia. They are both pretty much equal on the gameplay aspects but Symphonia easilly wins in the story and character development department. They're both great JRPGs though, you can't go wrong with either.
