I am at level 3 in ELITE difficulty level. You dont have an aim in ELITE so its hard to shoot from cover and i died like 30 times

if you play it on Elite youll die 15+ time on the first level

I decided to do my first play through on Veteran. I found it to be just challenging enough to still be fun... up until the last level. That is where I thought it just became INSANELY hard. Even here, not so bad until the last stand before Radec and Radec himself. The bit on the balcony. DAAAAMN that part was frustrating.

I finished it on Trooper difficulty afterwards and that was a cakewalk.

I still have to try Elite out.

torillian, yea i understand that, but i still expected veteran to be at least on the level of call of duty 4's veteran.

Veteran KZ2 is like Cod Hardened.

Veteran CoD would be like KZ2 elite mode...

Far as I can find, veteran seems to be the highest difficulty level on COD4, that true or am I missing something?

I will try to clarify it for him.  Killzone 2 Veteran = Call of Duty Hard.  Killzone 2 Elite = Call of Duty Veteran.  So what Torillian is saying is you are only playing the game on hard, play it on Elite before you start discussing how hard it is.  You need to unlock Elite by completing the game on any difficulty.

I finished Killzone on Veteran and Cod 4 on Veteran.  Most of the single player is pretty easy on these modes, but there are certain sections that the difficulty spikes.  Wait until you get to the Radec Academy, the train, the courtyard, and Radec before you start calling it the easiest game ever.  I thought the last level of Killzone 2 was harder than COD4 Mile High on Veteran, and that is truly saying something.

Edit: I thought Killzone 2 on Veteran was as difficult as GeoW2 and COD4 on hard.

ahhh....so I was correct.  Thank god, I looked all over for a simple list of the CoD4 difficulty levels to no avail.  Well, that answers the OP then, Killzone 2's difficulty on Veteran is easier because it is meant to be.

...

What about CoD5 on Veteran? Do you think KZ2 Elite = COD5 Veteran?

Dude, that's okay.  Wait till you get to the last level.  I died like 30 times there and 80-90 times during the whole game.  It was starting to get frustrating during some parts of the game and that's why I didn't really enjoy it the first time through. But once you complete the game it feels awesome like you have done the impossible lol, then I played some individual missions and this time it was more enjoyable and fun b/c i was more used to it.

On elite in chapter 3 where u get fronted/rushed by much too many helgasts and you got a sniper rifle standing on top of a little "house"/ bunker looking down a kind of long hallway - how do you survive?

I noticed there is some heavy machinery in front of me stationed on the ground but sooner or later a get flanked and die... all my teammembers get more or less instantly killed.. damit how can i pass this section?
