Forums - Sales Discussion - Brain Training franchise passes 30 million!

Yes, Brain Training and More Brain Training have together sold more than 30 million copies (according to VGChartz data). This is quite an achievement, and I thought it should be acknowledged. I've searched both the news and the threads, but can find no mention of this historic event.

This puts Brain Training in a very exclusive club of games with sequels that together pass 30 million, joining Pokemon, Grand Theft Auto and Super Mario platformers.

The question would now be, will they make 40 million? And where will it stop?
30 million took almost 4 years, so I would expect that it would take a bit less than 2 more years to get to 40 million, but it is possible.

Good luck, Brain training!

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

Wow oyvoyvoyv, that's a prominent position for a game with only two installments. Of course, it would be even higher if you took the average units sold per game :D Awesome list, btw.

...

13 - GUITAR HERO (without PC) - 35.9 m

wow a lotta money for nintendo!

With Nintendo having 6 of the top 10 (counting Tetris), I think we know which is the most successful gaming company. Strange that all (normal, non-VGChartz) people talk about is GTA, FF and CoD, while what they actually buy is Mario, Pokemon and, um, Kirby.

Brain Training has a Wii installment too (Big Brain Academy), which according to this site sold just over 3 million copies.

Not as robust as its DS counterparts, of course, but not too shabby either.
