I don't know how credible that release date is but i don't care. All I know is that I have been waiting for the better part of a decade and will be purchasing Starcraft 2 as soon as it releases. Although for what's it's worth I hope this source is credible :)

I'll say the same thing I said in the Halo: ODST release date thread: until you hear it from the publisher, take every release date you see with a huge grain of salt. What you see there is a guess.

Also, who writes Starcraft II as STARCRAFT II and forget to add the subtitle?  Also, don't games usually release on Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays?

@OP, as long as it doesn't come out before I graduate in May, I'll be fine.  I used to skip classes for StarCraft 1 all the time, and now Battle.Net is even bigger and better than ever before.

That would really be awesome though I doubt the validity of that release date I think later 2009 personally, but no matter the release date, Starcraft 2 is the whole reason I bought my shiny new PC :)

You bought it too soon! Starcraft 2 will rape eveyrthiing anyone knows about games and computers! It will take controll of your computer if its power level isn't over at LEAST 9000! It wll kill kittens if you don't buy a new computer just for it!!!

Heh if it can run Crysis it should be able to run Starcraft, Blizzard optimizes their games unlike other PC developers that just throw anything they can into a game, make it power heavy and call it good graphics ;) remember Blizzard is making this game for Korea as well it has to run on a toaster :D

Yeah my Computer will be build around being able to run crysis at a bagillion FPS. :] Mainly for starcraft 2 though.

Heh man isn't quite that intense but it'll run Crysis on medium settings fine, I just need a new graphics card if I want to run it on high, which really doesn't cost that much anymore. 

But if your PC will even run Crysis on low it should be able to run Starcraft fine.

There would have been leaked beta rumors by now and anyway it's doubtfull Blizzard would release it before BlizzCon at this point so that they can let the hype machine start working..

I didn't even consider that it might be fake.  On the one hand, now that I think about it it'd be pretty hard to get a dog into that costume and I don't know the odds it would end up like that on the couch.  On the other hand, I don't think those "cute animal picture" sites usually go for stuffed animals.  And the eyes are closed; I doubt they'd make Fox with closed eyes and I really doubt they'd make one with closing/opening eyes like some of those baby dolls. 

@ Ail:  The beta rumors are a good point, but I don't think Blizzard needs extra hype.  The thing's going to destroy the charts and sell bajillions for years and years; being more frontloaded wouldn't make much difference IMO.
