Forums - Gaming Discussion - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Stories for the PSP spotted on HMV

Talk about a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas game for the PSP has been going on for quite some time now. While nothing really panned out in a rock-solid and official sense, QJ.NET reader Xeinix pointed us towards an HMV page that contained the following listing:

Like I said, I haven't heard anything official yet, although I do recall Rockstar Leeds' Gordon Hall saying that they're not ruling out a San Andreas Stories a while back

Well, with all the focus on China Wars for the DS,if this GTA SA histories gets released,it would been in a long time.

Hm, i don't think this is a legit offer.

I just googled San Andreas Stories and the first picture that came up was the boxart shown above, looks photoshoped to me.

Of course I would be happy if they would release it, my PSP is starving to death...

Aren't HMV the same guys that listed MGS4 for 360 and Bioshock for ps3, back before the 360 version was even released?

I wish. I really do...

If it's coming out, it won't be for at least 2 years, as they haven't even finished Chinatown Wars yet.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

They are just about finished with Chinatown Wars and I would say the team behind Chinatown Wars is not nearly as big as the team behind LCS or VCS.
So I assume they could have two teams working on two different titles at the same time.
And when they're finished with the first project, have one team join the other team.

Still, I doubt it's coming out or even already in development.

You would, hm?  That's funny, cuz they're one and the same.  Rockstar Leeds makes one game at a time, and they made all three handheld GTA games so far this generation (including Chinatown).

Oops, I didn't know Leeds was responsible for Chinatown Wars as well, but still I guess not all of them are/were working on Chinatown Wars.

On a recent 1UP Yours podcast it was revealed that a new Grand Theft Auto is coming.

"There's another Grand Theft coming but it's not on the system you think it is. There's another GTA that they haven't announced yet, that's not on a console. They haven't announced it... but... It's a handheld. There's a handheld GTA coming"
