Figured it would be interesting to see what everyone biggest dissapointments were.

1.) Xbox 360 RROD - Were it not for this, I believe Microsoft would be doing a LOT better than they already are. Considering that they are doing pretty darn well, it makes you wonder how popular the system could have really been...

2.) Playstation 3's RSX - Although Sony made a lot of fake promises, this one absolutely takes the cake. Originally, RSX was suppose to boast a peak programmable performance of 1.8 Teraflops. The result? 0.2 Teraflops. For comparison, a Geforce GTX 295 which costs 500 dollars is just shy of 1.8Teraflops. Although this was impossible at the time, if Sony went into the future and brought back one of these babies, the Xbox 360 -> PS3 gap would be as big as the WIi - > Xbox 360 gap.

3.) Cell processor - See #2. Not 1/5th as powerful as it was suppose to be.

4.) No sequel to Eternal Darkness? Lame... (I know this is more than 3, but I just had to edit this in)

1) Ubisoft, they had some really good stuff last gen in PoP Sands of time and beyond good and evil, but now claiming to be "Nintendo like quality" with imagine games... then their PS3/360 games being pretty bad, as well as ruining Haze because they forced Free Radical to change their whole idea behind the game.

2) The Force Unleashed, good game, very solid, but much too short, and what they could have done on both PS3/360 and using the unique Wii abilities is just a shame. The Wii game is fun and the PSP game is really good, but overall I was expecting more.

3) The Wii not having external hard drive abilities.

Now to counter the negativity my biggest surprise.

EA, they used to show what's wrong with big corporations coming into gaming, pumping out the same game every year, hyping it up to get millions of sales, and putting as little work as possible. But this past couple of years EA has started to really make quality, with things like Mirror's Edge and such, they've really made me surprised.

1. PS3 original price point of $500/$600. That was alot of money for a game console, despite all the great features it had.

2. Multi-platform developers with exclusive DLC. I guess cause I bought these games on the "other" console, my money is no good.

3. The Wii. I was thinking of getting one until my mother did, I instantly lost all interest.

- Sony's fake promises in conjunction with bully marketing policy - overall down in credibility.
- Square Enix development and management stupidity.
- PSP (if you count this as current generation).

1. GTA IV, it was too hyped up, i remember thinking everyday about it until it was released. the game is soot & poo.

2. PS3 Price of $600, i originally thought PS3 would be $299-$399, so i holded out on buying a PS3, i was supposed to buy mine on the original November 17th 06 release date. but i got my PS3 in November of 07.

3. Wii- well i thought the wii would be awesome, but it got pretty boring. after pretty much all the games are shit. besides 1st party games.
