The numbers are OK, but they're not exact, unless by some miracle every system sold an exact even number of consoles every month, lol.

For example the GameCube sold 468k in November 2002. I'm guessing they numbers are based off of a grid chart and the writer was just rounding the numbers?

That was only because the PS2 slim models came out and there were shortages that November/December. Otherwise it would have looked like every other year.

Overall, there is really no metric by which the xbox "did well" vs. the ps2.
