MGS4 LBP one is $5.99 I think

@RPG

this time GT5 will get loads of paid DLC too.....so even more money

with such a huge GUARANTEED level of sales....even if a fraction of GT 5 userbase buys DLC that comes for it SONY will make LOADS

Well I'll only buy certain cars and tracks, so they better not abuse that.

To whoever asked about the GOW pack, it's just the Gamestop pre order with a few extra stickers. No levels, the level pack is 6 bucks and the costume packs is also 6 bucks, though you can buy individual costumes for 1.99 I think.

How much do the LBP addons cost?

Seasonal costumes are typically free, but only offered for a couple of weeks. Branded/licensed costumes are usually priced at $1.99 each, or 4 for $5.99 if they're done as a set, such as the Street Fighter pack. The "big" expansions, like the MGS level/content creation pack, are also generally priced at $5.99. Keep in mind, the MGS pack was actually two items, a $5.99 level pack AND a $5.99 costume pack. Cha Ching!

This will be a cash cow for Sony for several years. It's a license to print money when you think about it, since it can't take an artist or two more than a few days, at most, to model a costume, then push it out to the PSN, where if only one-quarter of LBP's buyers can be convinced to spend $1.99 on it, Sony makes a million dollars. It doesn't even require advertising ... just a well timed 'leak' to Kotaku.

The only downside, of course, is that Sony is generally incompetent when it comes to properly milking all the lifeblood out of a succesful franchise.

What LBP really lacks right now is physical, licensed merchandise. Where the hell are the sackboy plushies? Sony/Mm could name their price on cuddly sack dolls if they got them to market before Valentines Day.

You would never see Nintendo be this incompetent at hammering consumers over the head with their branded property.

awesome, personally i'm not willing to spend money on the costumes but the $6 for the MGS level kit was well worth my money. xD

This is the only game I've broken down and bought DLC for.

MGS + LBP ftw!

I didn't need to buy the GoW stuff, since I got it free from pre-ordering.

the MGS level pack does NOT cost £10, it's about £5.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.
