So they're porting the old game to the Wii, and making the sequel for 360/PS3, even though the PS3 didn't have the first one?

I guess they must have their reasons, however weird they may be...

what is there not to understand,,,an improved version of dead rising 1 will hit PS3 and 360.So people who like dead rising will get the new version.Dead rising is not exactly known for beautiful story or  setting. everything will be better in dead rising 2 as capcom's engines have improved over time.

Capcom probably figured they would spend more money porting the game to the PS3 than they'd get back from sales. PS3 owners just don't seem interested in 2 year old 360 ports.

PS3 Bioshock sales probably didn't endear them to the idea of porting it.

Agreed. This is going be like Saints Row 2. The PS3 version is going to do terribly in sales.
