He was very adamant about bringing all the story together and still is. Hopefully he's able to do it in the next zelda for the wii.

I think the Oracle games, and particularly Oracle of Ages, do not get the respect and recognition deserved by them. Everyone around here constantly shouts about Link's Awakening, and while it is indeed excellent, let's not forget about the OTHER excellent GB(C) Zelda games. :)
Hates Nomura. Tagged: GooseGaws - <--- Has better taste in games than you. |

I feel as though this post should be given some attention, as it seems the majority of Zelda fans seem to skip over them. Oracle of Seasons is more action oriented, with an emphasis on fighting larger amounts of enemies, while Oracles focuses more on tough puzzles. Both are incredibly good, and should be looked into by any Zelda fan.
Edit: Err, I don't know what all that garbage in my post was, go figure.

Fine fine fine fine fine! After Link's Awakening I will play the Oracle games, God willing. I will begin with Seasons bcause I like the name "Onox".
@outlawauron: I'm tempted to tell you to "legitimately acquire" Adventure of Link to see how you care for that one - calling Phantom Hourglass the worst Zelda isn't much of an insult, but I wonder how you would react to that particular game.

I think you missed the Minish Cap though. It is generally seen as the first one (before OoT).
So the theory is
Minish Cap > OoT > WW > TP > LttP
That makes sense. It also leads to a possible sequel to Phantom hourglass, in which you drain the water, and save Hyrule.
So.
MC leads to OoT. No real problem there. The problem is how OoT leads to WW. Unless we got some info in WW about that, we'll never get it, as there will never be a game between those again (assuming this TL is correct), because evil would have to win it, right? |
It's fine for me to put The Minish Cap at the start, so I think we can agree on this timeline.
I was hoping that we would see how the water is drained in Phantom Hourglass already before it was released, but as you said, now we can still hope for a sequel in which this is done.
A game between OoT and WW in our timeline would be very interesting though... It could be some kind of spin-off, a game in which you don't play Link because he doesn't come as we know. But in the end things turn out fine for Hyrule too because of the water, so I guess there could be a game with a really interesting story. Also, because it's a spin-off, it could include all the things people are wanting for Zelda that are never going to happen since it doesn't fit.
However, since Nintendo showed little to no interested to the timeline, I doubt we would see such a game sometimes...

What console was Adventure of Link released for?

Hmm. I think I may have played a bit of it. (on my calculator)
You know the middle/high school fad where everyone put small games on their TI-83s? I put Zelda on mine.

You would know this one; most of it was played like a side-scroller, not in the top-down perspective like other 2-D Zeldas.

Ah, the one I played a top down. I'll give it a try.
