Sure it is pretty expensive and it may not apply to everyone's tastes but can people say what is wrong with it?

For those of you who do own a PS3 including myself I can honestly say there are things wrong with it; there should be a usb port in the back, this could help for various things while not affecting the price too much.

So if you own a PS3 or not can you genuinely say what is wrong with it???

there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I can frankly say that it is the best console i've ever owned

The only thing wrong with the PS3 at the moment is the Price. Cause in the end thats all the consumer really sees. Adding features like "usb hubs" and stuff like that will do nothing to add to the userbase. Only more great games and a cheaper price!!!!

By 'What's wrong with it' I assume you actually mean 'Why is it sitting in last place?' cause otherwise there's nothing 'wrong' with it, it's an excellent system.

As to why Sony is sitting in last place there's two predominate reasons:

1) Price. Pure and simple. Not many people are willing to shell out $400 - $600 for a game system. Yes it plays Blu-ray but the public stills sees it as a game system.

2) They ignored their audience. No, not the core. That they targeted with great zeal in an attempt to be more core than the 360. More powerful, more storage, better online features (IE: the promise of HOME), bigger games. But the 'core' gamers are only a fraction of the PS2's ownership. Sony just expected the more casual gamers to follow along, eventually, without them putting any effort into attracting them. After all 360 is too core and Nintendo too kiddie for them. Right? Right?? Wrong. Dead, f---ing last place wrong Sony.

It sucks that Sony doesn't include a HDMI cable in the box.

It sucks that the 80GB SKU only has 2 USB ports.

The European PSN Store sucks.

It sucks that the current SKUs aren't compatible with PS2 games !!!!!!!!!
