Buyers remorse is when people start doubting their console after their 3rd one breaks down, or when the console owners rely on every blockbuster title coming out to bring their console to greatness, instead of just playing the Damn thing! :P

Theyre terrible, unless theyre cartoony.

I love say the art style of wario or galaxy etc, but metroid, godfather, bully, and other more serious graphics games are all laughable. still fun, but horrendous graphics.

 

 

Really? I think you're alone in the universe with that though. Metroid Prime 3 is beautiful, period.

 

Metroid was a shame.  Barely better looking than the old gc ones.  I was hoping for a step forward.  Even that ridley fight, in hd say, would have been amazing.  So much of it almost looked good, I gave em credit for trying.  In the end metroid looked very fake and plastic, espescioally the ship.  Awesome game, good art direction, bad old gen graphics tho.  Still a huge fan, but fuck nintendo, i woulda paid 50-100 bucks more for better graphics on wii.

 



Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Perhaps you would... but many would not.

Hell the Wii is my 4th console, 3rd Nintendo in a row... and I was at the limit of my will for spending £180 on it. At a push I might have paid £200 but certainly not more.

The way you speak of graphics, I have to say it sounds like you judge books by their covers. Like you said, awesome game, awesome art direction, and I totally disagree with you saying it looked bad. But even if hypothetically it did, who cares?


I play games for the awesome games part. Sounds like you do, too, but you seem to be hung up on this idea about graphics...

Oh look, another Wii graphics suck thread! How surprising...

I pray that none of the people that think these (or Metroid 3's) graphics are completely horrible ever has to suffer to those terrible looking PS2 games ever again. Not to mention PS1 (aaaarrrgggghhhh) or god forbid: sprites.

I think that's why Sony decided to remove backwards compatibility from the PS3 -- it's to save the poor gamers from the crap graphics they spewed out the last couple of gens.

I'll never understand the NEED for better and better graphics. To me a game that was great 3 years ago, is still great today so long as the gameplay holds up.

 

I have a pc for "HD" games, and while those high end graphics are okay, I still end up playing the games with rock solid gameplay over them. Lots of PS2, N64, some PS1, and beyond...

 

My opinion is that people who worry about graphics, are people who worry about others judging them or their games. Sort of the way some people I know won't let their friends see they own a copy of Animal Crossing.

I play games for the awesome games part. Sounds like you do, too, but you seem to be hung up on this idea about graphics...

 

Don't get me wrong I love the game.  I'm just saying it's not like you can't complain about the graphics.  Some guys on this site are like 'wii graphics are amazing!  I need no better!'  but that's not how I feel.  Stuff can always improve.  I got an HD tv for a reason, for my wii I almost want to use an SD tv, it looked better.

My favorite games of all time have awful graphics for the most part.  Great games, but awful graphics, and it's ok if I think that.
